Date and location

  • The workshop will be held on 19 and 20 April 2017.
  • The workshop venue is the “Van der Valk” Hotel in the city of Haarlem. The city is conveniently located near Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and has excellent public transport and road connections. The city itself is beautiful, historic and has been chosen the best place for shopping in the Netherlands several times in recent years. This provides excellent opportunities for those who come or leave early and to those who are looking for a good place to spend the free evening.
  • An admission fee of € 250 per delegate will be charged following your registration. This fee includes two lunches and the workshop dinner.

Program and facilities

  • Topics to be presented and discussed are summarized at the end of this message. The first day of the workshop will be dedicated to GridSens and FutureGrid projects, whereas the SmartGrid-II project will be discussed on the second day. The day before the workshop there will be closed project meetings to discuss administrative issues. The final programme will be settled by the project consortia.
  • There will be a large plenary room and coffee lounge available with sufficient space for poster presentations and (mini) exhibitions. Beamers and free wifi are present in all rooms.
  • We have reserved a limited number of hotel rooms at the Van der Valk Hotel (comfort or comfort-plus rooms for € 134,50 or € 144,50 per night, respectively). If you want to make use of this offer please register before Monday 13 March. After this date, the hotel rooms might still be available but are no longer reserved.
  • Other hotel options are available near the meeting location. For those who want something else, we recommend checking out Carlton Square, Amrath or one of the many smaller accommodations in the city.
